Avvalor Corporate Solutions assisted the multinational AKZO NOBEL COATINGS in the reindustrialization project of the Peseggia (VE) site during 2024.
As part of a rationalization project of the sites dedicated to the production of Paints, Akzo had planned to close the Peseggia production site, dedicated to the production of wood coatings, but intended to seek opportunities to reuse the production site, in agreement with the local authorities and trade union representatives.
Akzo therefore signed a consultancy mandate with Avvalor, to identify possible operators interested in resuming production activity at the plant.
Avvalor presented a series of potential buyers after a prospecting activity in the paints sector, the chemical industry and other potential users.
At the end of the mandate, a buyer interested in completing the transaction to revitalize the plant with industrial-craft activities was identified and the scope of a transaction acceptable to Akzo was defined. The transaction is expected to be finalized by mid-2025, subject to the completion of decontamination operations at the industrial site.
